KRALENDIJK, Bonaire – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) announced on Thursday June 2, 2022 a cooperation agreement with Fundashon Formashon pa Mañan (FORMA).
As part of the tourism recovery plan, one of the main objectives is community inclusion. TCB aims to extend the benefits derived from tourism development to a wider segment of Bonaire’s population by educating and inspiring our community (inclusive destination) and providing our local people with the tools to be part of the larger economic sector. from Bonaire.
FORMA has been offering the ‘Bonaire in Depth and Guiding Skills’ course for a few years. Obtaining this certificate shows that the student has the knowledge to responsibly guide tourists and other interested parties about Bonaire.
TCB’s objective is to have qualified tourist guides to ensure the quality of the tourist product and the experience. Both organizations see the benefit of a cooperation agreement with the aim of providing visitors to Bonaire with an unforgettable experience. The cooperation agreement is also seen as the basis for future collaboration on educational and community projects.
FORMA and TCB will continue to explore and carry out various activities in the future to provide training and courses to those working in the tourism sector in order to achieve the objectives set out in the Tourism Strategic Master Plan and the revival of tourism.
