The three-kilometre Gorge Walkway, usually open Tuesday to Sunday, will also be open to the public on several Mondays this year
Malaga City Hall has announced that tickets for the Caminito del Rey, which reopened on December 17, will remain at the fixed price of ten euros for a general ticket, or 18 euros for a visit with accredited guides, until June 19 .
UTE Sando Salzillo Integral Services and Mundo Management, which took over management of the walkway in December, will continue to operate the attraction Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the closing time extended to 5:30 p.m. more late in the year. The visitor center will also open in the coming weeks.
In addition, the company announced that this year the three-kilometer walkway will open on Andalusia Day (Monday February 28), Easter Monday (April 11) and Monday May 2 (instead of the Feast of the Job).
The Caminito del Rey, which aims to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Park, in the municipalities of Álora, Ardales and Antequera. One of the most popular parts of the promenade is the suspension walkway, which hangs 105 meters above the ground.
