Sharjah 24: In November, the “Sharjah Youth”, affiliated with the Rubu ‘Qarn Foundation for the creation of leaders and innovators, will launch a series of programs and workshops combining realism and virtuality. On the basis of its concern to prepare future generations and to qualify its affiliates from 13 to 18 years old.
For those interested in the performing arts field, Sharjah Youth will offer a workshop titled “Theatrical Writing” to teach participants the skills and styles of dramatic writing. According to each theatrical style, the techniques will be determined in terms of dramatic and artistic elements. Participants will learn how to develop their talents and theatrical skills, accompanied by specialist university trainers, and how to write a theatrical text and turn it into reality through a visual presentation in the “Script to Performance” workshop of the Theatrical Arts program. The opportunity to participate in the “Youth Theater Writing Competition” is still open to talented and creative playwrights until October 30, 2021, and those who wish to participate should know the details by following the official Sharjah Youth pages on @shjyouth social media sites.
As for cinema and film production enthusiasts, Sharjah Youth will launch the “Film Production and Direction” workshop as part of the “The Art of Cinema” program. Through this workshop, participants will produce a short film after being introduced to the concept of production and cinematographic direction and the stages through which it will go to produce and direct short films.
Young people interested in the arts are also looking forward to this month’s “Creating Endless Works of Art by Whiteboard” program; participants will be trained on how to produce an infinite number of contents using the board by drawing or writing on it, photographing it and using simple applications via the smartphone to learn a number of technical and creative solutions to produce a simple, fun, engaging, and post-ready content. Participants in the “Painting on Coconut Shell” workshop will learn the skills to transform the inner coconut shell from an ordinary shell into a paintable layer and turn it into a work of art.
For those interested in technology, a list of interesting programs and workshops awaits them, such as the “VEX Robots” workshop to train participants in high skills to design their own robot and advanced programming for both. types of VEX robots (VEX EDR V5 & VEX IQ), using the ‘Robotek’ program. During the “Do It Yourself” program, participants will be trained in programming Raspberry Pi and Arduino chips to qualify them and provide them with the skills to produce their own projects. While participants in the “3D Design” program will learn to design 3D shapes using the “Fusion 360” program.
The November list includes many programs under the life skills track, such as the “Hayaakum” program under the slogan “Tour Guide”. Participants will learn the stages and skills that qualify them to be tour guides and guide tourists to places in the heart of Sharjah, showing the cultural and tourist heritage it contains. Besides offering special tours and field trips to Sharjah tourist spots. While participants in The Art of Saving Money program will learn expense management skills, the Art of saving, spending wise skills, and the skill to overcome financial stress.
As for literature and reading enthusiasts, we will present the “Book Club – Read” program in cooperation with The UAE Board on Books for Young People. Participants will have the opportunity to meet one of the writers in a virtual session at the end of the month to discuss the book and express their views.
