Rhode Island Red Food Tours is thrilled to announce the return of its wildly popular (and delicious!) Food Tours in April. the Newport Neighborhood Food Tour makes its 2022 season debut on Friday, April 22n/a and the Downtown Providence Food Tour Saturday April 23rd.

With spring in the air and over a million daffodils in bloom, restaurateurs are thrilled to once again welcome food tour adventurers to the seaside city and the capital.

Ron Koller, the owner of The Malted Barley on Providence’s famous Westminster Street, is also eager to see the return of the capital’s premier food tour. “The Providence Downcity Food Tour is a great way for people visiting Rhode Island, as well as locals, to learn a lot about Rhode Island and the food scene here, as well as Providence and our state!”
Tours to Newport (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and Providence (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) begin at noon and each include stops at half a dozen local eateries and eateries. On several days, a second afternoon tour is offered. Tours last three to three and a half hours, and along the way, guests experience the authentic history, art, architecture, food culture, and bragging rights of Providence and Newport.
“We launched ticket sales on our website earlier than ever this year, as there has been clear consumer demand. Many local tourism experts are predicting a banner year for leisure travel and we are already booking tours and private tours well ahead of summer and even fall,” says Silva. Tour tickets can be purchased up to the day before a tour, but often sell out, so pre-purchase is highly recommended.
Private tours are available for Providence and Newport and offer a great opportunity to build the corporate team or an exclusive opportunity to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, girlfriend getaways, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family reunions or other milestone events.
