The route to be carried out runs entirely along the main and best-known route of the Camino de Santiago, the French Way.
We will begin our particular pilgrimage next to the hermitage of Valdefuentes (Florida) and, after walking through the Montes de Oca, once one of the main difficulties for pilgrims, we will reach and visit the monastery of San Juan de Ortega.
It is one of the most emblematic points of the Camino. For more than 800 years it has cared for the pilgrims who pass by in search of the Compostela cathedral. We will visit the church of the old monastery founded by San Juan de Ortega from Burgos. There the Miracle of Light takes place twice a year, coinciding with the spring and autumn equinoxes, when sunlight illuminates the Romanesque capital of the Annunciation.
The last section of this route will bring us closer to the town of Agés, with its long road and beautiful traditional architecture.
